Cheyenne Stable's 3-year-old filly Sustainable gave a very good account of herself in her first added-money start of her career, finishing a clear second in the $100,000 Dearly Precious S. Feb. 8 at Aqueduct.

Fresh off of breaking her maiden on New Year's Eve, Sustainable had a formidable tasking in facing 1-5 favorite Gracer. Though she could not match strides with the winner late, she easily held second by four lengths.

Sustainable, bred in Kentucky by Normandy Farm LLC, is out of Normandy's Nell, whose first foal Culotte is a two-time stakes winner of $140,301. Normandy's Nell is a half-sister Grade 1 Del Mar Oaks winner Famous Digger.
